    It's my own fault, in my defense it was rather late but clicking weird .exe files = no no no no forever. Malwarebytes & Avast were able to get rid of it though.

    For the record Mediafire is just a hosting site, it's perfectly safe as long as you only download files you trust and that look normal.

    MediaFire is the most reliable hosting service I have used since MegaUpload went down.

    It is a site that, as far as I know, does not allow automatic downloading or directly linking to files and does not cover its pages with dangerous fake "click to download" ads. You are a lot safer with MediaFire than most lesser-known hosting sites.

    Yeah I know it's usually safe, I use the site a lot — I just wanted to make sure that I had cleared the forum of the dangerous links. Wanted to warn people.
